Our wonderful manager, Jacklyn, has over 15 years experience in the boarding and grooming industry. She started out bathing dogs at a local kennel while she was in high school in California. Shortly after graduation, she was promoted to kennel manager.
After moving to Washington, Jacklyn began the search for a new kennel to call home. She was hired here at Country Kennels in 2008 as a bather and kennel technician. Thanks to her hard work, wealth of knowledge in the business and very caring heart, Jacklyn was promoted to manager in the fall of 2011.
Jacklyn helps make Country Kennels a welcoming "second home" for your pet from the minute you walk through the door. She makes a point of remembering customers names along with the names of their pets, of course, and is quick to answer questions or fix any problems that might arise. She goes out of her way to ensure the best care and service is provided to all the animals in her care while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and safety at all times. She has even found loving new homes for a few pets in need!
Megumi, "Meme", our lead groomer was born and raised in Japan, coming to the United States in December of 2003. She began her career in grooming in 2004, starting as a bather then learning the art of grooming from a woman with over 45 years experience. She taught Meme that doing quality work was more important that quantity, that the details of the job are what make the difference between good and great grooming, and encouraged her to pursue perfection in her grooming. Everything Meme does is to make her teacher proud and to make the customer happy so they feel "my baby looks good"!
Meme takes special care and extra time to have fun while grooming so the dogs on her table will have fun too! She says, "Every day is different - we have different customers, different hair conditions and different behavior from each dog". The one thing that never changes, however, is her determination to do the very best!
