Country Kennels has been proudly serving Tacoma and surrounding areas for over 3 decades, but my wife and I are a recent addition to the family.
We have been operating Country Kennels since December of 2013 and little by little Priscilla has been adding her personal touch. We were both born and raised in Brazil and we are now raising a family of our own here. I am an engineer by trade and you are likely to see me here on weekends working on the computer or walking the property looking for something to be fixed. Priscilla has loved animals since she was little and became a licensed veterinarian in Brazil where she practiced for several years before we moved here. Priscilla's passion for animals led us to Country Kennels and now we have found ourselves an extended family in our customers and staff. The services we offer, how we operate and how we care for our four-legged customers reflects ours and our staff's personal preferences. We hope you like it. Come visit us soon.
Decio & Priscilla.
We welcome our customers to stop by anytime during business hours to check us out before making a reservation (you are welcome to bring your pets too) for boarding or daycare. We are confident you will like what you see (and don’t smell).
We can also entertain your dog one on one with a staff member or socialize with other dogs in a playgroup. Playgroups are 100% supervised by a trained staff member.
When boarding, your dog can stay at an individual room or share it with a family member. Each room connects to an outside run, an additional space to let your pet stretch its legs. Let’s not forget cats! We have a separate room for cats. For peace of mind, our manager lives on-site and provides 24x7 supervision.
Last, but not least, we will be happy to send your dog or cat home bathed or groomed by one of our pet stylists.
Meet Our Team
Marilyn – Pet Stylist
Our pet stylist, Marilyn, has over 20 years’ experience in the boarding and grooming industry and has been with us for over 11 years.
Marilyn helps make Country Kennels a welcoming "second home" for your pet from the minute you walk through the door. She makes a point of remembering customers’ names along with the names of their pets, of course, and is quick to answer questions or address any concerns that might arise. She goes out of her way to ensure the best care and service is provided to all the animals in her care while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and safety at all times.
Haleigh - Boarding Assistant
I have roughly two years experience with Country Kennels. I enjoy seeing all the familiar faces, both human and animal. I have my Associates as an Medical Office Professional from Tacoma Community College. I have loved dogs (and other animals) from a very young age and still do to this day and forever more! I currently have a Pomeranian name Loki and a Border Collie named Thor and I will gush about them at any moment and love to hear from other owners about their beloved pets.
